The report has had it that the blues are still working on sealing the signing of the 23 year old Sevilla star Joules Kounde.
The deal has seen to be their best signing if the can lure him to sign for the club.
For couples of months, Chelsea has been chasing the central defender as they want to add more depth to their squad.
Now, the West London would be loosing their star Antonio Rudiger this season as he would not be expected to sign a new deal.
The blues would then look elsewhere to secure a replacement as the German international could slip off their fingers.
