Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi, was conspicuously absent from Nigeria’s team for this month’s 2022 World Pot playoffs against Bekwai, ghana.

On Friday, a 32-man provisional team was published by the Nigeria Footballing Federation (NFF).
Iwobi has not been listed among the midfielders or forwards.
This can be due to red card he / she picked up in the 1-0 defeat to Tunisia in the 2021 Africa Pot of Nations.
Iwobi was sent off for a seal of approval in the rounded of 16 scission by Senegalese referee, Maguette N’Diaye.
N’Diaye had primarily shown a yellow greeting card for the horrible. Yet , he was advised by Online video Assistant Referee (VAR) to check the pitch-side monitor, then he upgraded the yellow to a red.
